You don’t come to me to buy a table saw, so why are you going to the hardware store for Orchids? Please buy directly from an Orchid grower. Well, just to set the record straight, I primarily _DO_ buy orchids from growers.  It’s just, it’s just, well, they looked SO pretty and they were orchids and I just, I just couldn’t help myself (head hanging down in shame).  They were quite attractive, and fairly cheap too ($7 a plant), and it was Christmas, and, and….BTW, this particular orchid has got to be one of the most striking I’ve ever seen, very deep purple-red velvety flowers.  Thanks for the info, though. —Prem

At least the grower was considerate enough to make some attempt at labelling the darn thing, you did get a name out of it eventually.  That is better than most of the orchids you buy at these places.  I’ve been tempted too – temptation is good.  And Rod, if someone came to my place and wanted to buy a hammer, I would sell them a hammer and tell them how to use it… *grin* Rob  Rob’s rules to live by:                            |  Send me seeds!    (1) There is always room for one more orchid.    |    (2) There is always room for two more orchids.   |    (3) There is no rule 3.                          |  Will Flask for Food     (3a) When one has insufficient credit to buy    |              more orchids, obtain more credit.          |
