Count Me Out
Question:
I feel that at this time what will work best for me is to unsubscribe. I would like to thank those who have helped me grow my orchids and learn more about these beautiful plants. I wish much luck and many blooms to all. Patricia
Don’t do it, Patricia. If the sane people all opt out, then the ugly and irrational ones win. We have had flurries of this sort of thing before, but they disappear in time. RGO will survive and remain a great resource to those of us more interested in orchids than in vituperation. __ Ken Woodward ___ ____Newton, MA___
Response:
I agree with Ken, Patricia, don’t let one nut spoil this for you.If anything, take a break for a few days. It’ll be over soon, hot air does dissapate eventually
Response:
As you said, just delete those messages. I didn’t even know any "ugliness" was going on – till it was brought up

I subscribed to this newsgroup several years ago to learn more about growing orchids. I have asked questions, received replies, and also learned from other orchid growers questions and answers. Among the information that I have learned is that what works for one grower may not necessarily be the best for another grower and that each reader of this newsgroup should do what works best for them and their orchids. I have also learned something else from this newsgroup lately though….The world has enough ugliness in it already. I do not want to turn on my computer and find more waiting for me in the orchid newsgroup postings. I realize that I can simply delete these messages, I can read them and ignore them, or I can unsubscribe to this newsgroup. I feel that at this time what will work best for me is to unsubscribe. I would like to thank those who have helped me grow my orchids and learn more about these beautiful plants. I wish much luck and many blooms to all. Patricia
