hi i am a newcomer to this newsgroup and i live in mauritius.can anybody help me about watering of orchids .also can we grow orchids inside a house? approx temp in mauritius throughout the year 18-32 degrees celcius thanks in advance swada

OK, Now that I know where Mauritius is I’ll help you.  You can grow phalaenopsis and paphiopedilums in the house with minimal effort.  Other orchids will require specific higher light levels.  You can grow quite a few types of orchids outside such as dendrobiums, vandas, certain oncidiums, some cattleya types and lots of various other orchids.  I suggest you check out this orchid club, they can give you lots of advice about growing orchids there.
