Just curious if anyone subscribes to The Orchid Review.  If so what do you think of it and is it worth the subscription price?

I just heard that The Orchid Review is in trouble. Most of subscribers are outside of England. Subscriptions are down. The editor has resigned, and a new editor has taken over. The RHS has decided that if things do not turn around over the next year, they are going to drop it, PERIOD.

I subscribed to this about 18 months ago when  I started growing orchids. It’s a  professionally produced magazine with 6 issues a year totaling around 400 pages. It covers items of interest for beginners and experienced growers with lots of colour pictures – there’s usually something I must get! Recent articles have ranged from growing from seed, potting/mounting, leafless orchids and many on specific genera/countries – plus new hybrid info. Binder for 12 issues makes neat package and I think value for money. Hope this helps, David Ward (UK)
