Blooming Vandas?

Question:

b bHi b      I am a novice in orchids and have 2 vandas: one in hanging bbasket  and other large one in a pot;  The large one produce beautiful bflower  once and stop;   b      Can anyone offer me tips to induce them to flower. b Benson, The best, shortest answer here will be to keep it as bright as possible short of burning it up, adequate air circulation, temps up to 85 deg during the day, and humidity to match. If you have a greenhouse, you should have no problems. Keep them well watered, with the medium just barely drying out, and keep up on the fertilizer. -Rod- Rod & Susan Venger, Venger’s Orchids Orchid Culture Homepage http://usa.net/venger/ —

Try more light and assuming they have "very good" drainage, more water. Some are weird about that, I have one (huge and old) that didn’t bloom for years. Then one year it bloomed in the greenhouse in the middle of winter, and again when I put it out in the full Texas sun in the summer. Who knows……Dan
