how do you repot
Question:
You ’slip pot’ it into a prettier one. That is to say you buy a nicer pot and just drop the ugly one into it. You can dress up the top with some moss or bark or whatever to make that more appealing too. You don’t want to actually pot in a nice pot because the roots will adhere to the nice pot and rip up when you go to repot. Well… I suppose you really can do anything you want, but the slip pot method is what’s commonly done. Then you can reuse the pretty pot for the next orchid when it comes into flower etc. We all usually have them in several sizes and depths, just another excuse to go to art shows or nurseries and look for pots!
