Question:

I have a phal that is sending out a spike.  It has been this way for several weeks.  No blooms are appearing yet.  Advice?  Suggestion??

Patience! Phal spikes take 10-12 weeks to mature and weather changes can and will accelerate or slow the process. If you don’t actually see anything wrong, don’t worry about it. Have fun! -Rod- Venger’s Orchids Website http://www.vengers.com/

Orchid flowers last longer than typical house plants.  It also takes longer for plants to prepare the show.  From the first sign of spike, most of the phals take anywhere from 2 to 3 months to flower — Home Page: http://www.geocities.com/RainForest/3105 GNTOS Page:  http://www.geocities.com/RainForest/3106
