Question on Oncidium Splendidum

Question:

We have some mature divisions available; they’re about 12"-14" tall with a new growth that is expected to bloom on maturing. They are typical mule ears – very rigid leaves, and they like to be basically ignored. Grow ‘em warm and bright, let them dry very thoroughly between waterings. | Hi. Does anybody have information on Onc. splendidum? How big will it get? | Are there any nuseries offering this plant? | |

Response:

Used to see it commonly at orchid shows in the southern US. It gets about 20" tall and then throws up a 4 – 5′ flower spike. Nice, robust plant if you give it lots of light. Can’t give you a source right now. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text –

Response:

You might try Andys Orchids 888-514-2639. It is not listed in his catalog but when I call him and ask he usually has a few of almost anything. It is a mule ear, right.  He has a lot of mule eared oncidiums and they are really great mounted. Eric Richardson
