Looking for informations

Question:

Hi! I’m Federico from Bologna, Italy. I’ve just started studying gardening and I’m very interested in orchids. My aunt has just built a wonderful hot-house in her garden where we would like to grow orchids and citrus fruits. But we are at the beginning and we need all the informations to learn how to grow and, in the future, how to cross-fertilize and create new genera… Does anybody know any good and interesting Internet sites or books for me? Thanks in advance,                         Federico a journalist to John Lennon when he flew back from USA: "Excuse me, how did you find USA?" John Lennon: "Next to Groenland"

Federico, I found valuable information at these internet sights.  They all contain links to other sights.  It will take you many hours to look at all the sites available. AND this news group is a godsend for me, I learn more every day.  Ask a question and ten people answer you, each with a different insight than the other.  Stick around. http://www.netins.net/showcase/novacon/cyphaven/chorcmal.htm http://cougar.uwaterloo.ca/orchids.html to learn how to grow and, in the future, how to cross-fertilize and create new genera…

There will be sites that list and sell most of the books necessary for this.  There are sites that specialize in "flasking" (the growing of orchid seeds.) Thanks in advance,                         Federico

You are welcome. Laurie Hughes, from the USA near Boston
