SIN airport dos…
Question:
I’ll be flying SYD to FRA return on SQ. So I should have access to SQ’s SIN airport amenities. Anything I should check out? I was told that there was a pool you could use at SIN airport.
This is correct. Ed R.

also, you can bring your swimwear along for a dip at the swimming pool and jacuzzi on top of the terminal 1 (overlooking the planes). the entrance is through the terminal 1 transit hotel. hisham – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – That sounds pretty good. Should I just make enquiries after I get to the airport? Thanks for the info Ed! –Weiyun Hi all, Looks like that I’ll make my first trip out to Singapore next week and I have allowed myself a very relaxed 6 hours transit time. I would like to have a good look at SIN airport and if possible the city. Any suggestions here? I would really appreciate it! SQ offers a bus tour for transit passengers with your length of layover. Check out their web site. Or you can shop till you drop in the airport, check out the gardens, and take in the other sites. It’s a pretty decent place to spend a multi-hour layover. Ed R.

[[ This message was both posted and mailed: see the "To," "Cc," and "Newsgroups" headers for details. ]] Just back as you know. Don’t know when you were last in their lounges. I was able to use their last functional terminal on my way out to check a few web sites. On the way back, the guy in front of me stuffed up that last working terminal. They couldn’t get it connected again before my departure…
–Weiyun – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – No that kind of luck for this trip. Unless SQ upgrade me from business. But I don’t think they’ll do it for a first time SQ flyer…
Anyway, I’ll certainly check out their business lounge. I’m sure it’ll give UA’s RCC a run for their money. My rating for a great lounge is when the lounge is net access friendly…
Two lounges that’s truely up there in my mind in this regard are, AC’s Maple Lounge in Toronto and SAS’s lounge in Brussels. That SAS lounge provides free web access to all visitor. Great for catching up on all the news. There are free Internet access terminals in SIA’s FC and BC lounges. — Craig

There is a pool and jacuzzi on the rooftop of T1 – it’s part of the Transit Hotel complex, so it’s only accessible from air-side. There is also a Sauna in the same area but not on the roof – somewhere else in the Transit Hotel. There is a garden area attahced to poolside with great views of the apron as well. Cheers. Seriously though. I have also heard people talking about it. I’ll do some searches while there…

–The Singapore tourist organization used to offer free city sightseeing tours to transit pax with enough time. Check with SQ if that is still available and feasible for you. –==++AJC++==–
