Visit to Miami area
Question:
Fairchild tropical garden in Coral Gables and Flamingo Gardens in Davie are 2 places you want to check out.
Response:
I would like to add that you need to visit the Fairchild Tropical Gardens on Old Cutler Road in South Miami. There is a unique history behind David Fairchild and there is a plethera of exotic plants that he personally collected and added to the garden. There are daily tram rides and the grounds are spectacular!!!! Jeff

It’s a cool place to visit, but the last time I was there, the park was in a state of disrepair. The personnel (mostly volunteers) do what they can, but the county doesn’t put enough money into it. Still, the exotic fruit trees are very interesting and the small shop is cool too. Best regards, Fred Armando Miami, FL – USA

You can also check out: Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is an Italian Renaissance-style villa and formal gardens built in 1916 as the winter residence of industrialist James Deering. The house has 34 rooms of 15th through 19th-century antique furnishings and decorative arts. The grounds include over 10 acres of formal gardens and fountains. Parrot Jungle – very close to Fairchild Tropical Garden. As a matter of fact you will probably past it on your way to Fairchild. It has a lot of tropical plants too, with birds. I liked it a lot. North of Miami and Fort Lauderdale, in Delray Beach is a really nice Japanese garden: Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens 4000 Morikami Park Rd. Delray Beach
