Orchid Blooms

Question:

How do I get my Moth Orchid to bloom.   I know there is something I am suppose to do for blooming but I can’t remember what and when. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You could try placing your plant where the night temperature gets into the 60’s F.  Often a combination of a fall in night temperature and the shortening daylengths induces Phalaenopsis orchids to bloom. The ideal for these plants is a drop in temperature of about 10 degrees between the day and night temperature.   Also, you could try fertilizing your plant with a weak solution of fertilizer specific to blooming at quarter strength with every second watering for a little while, or until buds begin to develop on the flower spike. Good luck, Rob St-Jean
